How do you avoid falling down a rabbit hole of misinformation?

The articles/links/posts below are things that somehow come your way--perhaps you do a Google search seeking information for class... A friend or relative shares one of them with you on Instagram or Twitter...

  • How would you go about analyzing/validating/debunking these sources?
  • Be prepared to explain your thought process and the search/validation techniques you used to complete your analysis/evaluation of the sources. 
  • Note: If you find a source that is reporting something that appears to be "true," but which is of a "lower quality," please find a better quality source and be ready to explain how you found it!
