At the conclusion of today's lesson, you should be able to identify 7 standards of quality journalism to look for as you evaluate the quality of a news report or other online source.

Today's lesson might feel like an odd way to start learning about news, but for us to understand why we might judge online information to be accurate and fair vs. online information that we might judge to be misinformation, it helps to start with everyone having a common understanding about the ethics of professional journalism.
